NIHGA Scramble Rules

• If a team has only three players, each player will only take one shot per hole. There will be no rotating of players for the fourth shot. If you sign up fewer than four players, individuals needing a team may be added to your group.
• All balls must be placed within one club length of the ball that has been chosen as the best shot.  The club length shall not place the ball closer to the hole or improve the lie from hazards, rough, fringe, or out of bounds.   
• Putts need to be made within 3 inches of the chosen ball, but no closer to the hole. No Gimmes.
• Each player’s tee shot must be used at least two times during the 18-hole competition. A drive on a par 3 may count as one of the two times.
• All teams have a maximum score of bogey for each hole. Pick up your ball and move to the next hole when you reach the maximum score. If a course marshal directs you to skip a hole, record the maximum score for the skipped hole.
• Ties will be broken in accordance with the course rules.

Tees Colors: Members play from the same tees they played during the regular season.  Guests play from the tee on which their handicap is based.  Middle (White, 6271 yds); Senior (Green, 5551 yds); Forward (Red, 4977 yds)

Contests

• Closest to the Pin on all par 3’s. Long Drive on #9 and #18.
• Putting Contest: At the putting green when making the turn.
• Foursomes compete for low gross score within their flight.

Pace of Play: Keep up with the group in front of you. View tips on maintaining pace of play. 

Cancellation Policy: You are expected to play if you are listed on the final Tee Sheet posted on nihga.org. If you cannot play for any reason, notify the NIHGA Outing Coordinator listed below as soon as possible. Tournament will be played unless the course is closed. Refunds are not guaranteed after Oct 9.

Dinner and Awards: Join us on the patio immediately following the tournament for lunch, prizes and awards.  Lunch: Fresh Green Salad, Herb Roasted Red Skinned Potatoes, Pull BBQ Chicken, Cookies & Brownies, Lemonade and Ice Tea.  Alcoholic beverages must be purchased separately.
